well.
well, there were some eventful band pracs and all that but that's what i've gotta expect when i was not working my best. do you understand that previous line? > NVM.
just feeling that this whole month has been like a whirlwind of emotions and it has bee n such fun and sadness mixed together like some of us playing with grape jam provided by Mac's. =) it's just that i can't find a better word to explain how i'm feeling now or whatever i was going through the last few weeks. it's like a tornado came and went and TA-DAAA!!! =P
poof - i got a new hair cut - tie_able. =P
yes i like teddy geiger and corinne bailey rae officially. they are really natural born singers and they both can play the guitar! [ah - my dream instrument of all times. =] and the best thing of CBR is that she has a great laidback voice that gives her songs a jazzy feel. good for a LAZY person like muahhs. =)
BACK TO THE EVENTFUL BAND PRACS.
lets just say that my emo part of me got the better of me and i end up being OVERWHELMED. that's all i'm going to reveal so HAHA. =P
1. the rehearsal: it was held on a wed, 2 days before the actual day and i was getting a bit cranky and all worried. some more full dress and still had to move the instruments up and down a SPIRAL STAIRCASE!! oh the SCGS gals rlly like all these kind of mind-boggling stuff. let's just put it this way - i got dizzy. =) it went okay i guess, some amendments made and alot to do with rehearsing with the lights! [-.-"] the time we started the rehearsal was about 3 plus going on to 4. kind of late i guessed. and we had to end by 6? [-.-"] seemed quite impossible to me.
i think the worse thing of that day was not because we made some mistakes in the playing or that after our sweaty selves we were dressed in 'OUR BEST' - just that we had to move
ALL the instruments back down and then into the 'LONGSHOT' truck [some may find this funny or smtg -.-"] i mean
WHY??? all of things they had to make us move the instruments back to sch - GESS. as if we were going to carry the bass drum home to practice or smtg!!??? -.-"
i guessed that the teachers just weren't thinking off the same lines as me. o.0
2. getting ready: thursday was a rest day for us as FOO didn't want us to break a hand leg arm knee pull anything YADA - just want us to be in tiptop conditions before we had our concert.
btw it reminded me of smtg. on the tickets they put GESS
ELDDS Concert. lemme just get this off my chest before i explode into a gazillion peices.
WTF MUZ DEY PUT ELDDS ONLY ITS NOT ONLY THEIR CONCERT ITS ALSO OURS I MEAN COME OFF IT WE TAKE UP MORE OR ALMOST THE SAME AMOUNT OF STAGE TIME AS THEM AND THEY HAVE TO PUT THEIR NAME THERE WTF THIS IS SO DAMN UNFAIR ANYWAY WE DID BETTER THAN YOU AS SO MANY PEOPLE SAID WAHAHAHA.
there. just had to get it off. i don't wanna be depressed or anything since all physicians say that its no good to keep things bottled up inside. =) but truly, i dunnoe how many other band members will agree with me on this larh. =P anyway
GESSBAND RULES. that's enough for me.
3. the big day[s]: on friday, we did the same routine of moving instruments to the SCGS Khoo Auditorium. let off early on friday so WOOHOO!!! =D it just pays to be a gessbander larh! =) and i got to go home to bathe and get reday for the performance later on. brought my clothes along to change at the SCGS. not some special privelege or a set aside form others. its just that percussion get all hot and sweaty from moving the instruments that they rather us change later. -.-" oh wells.
all i remeber was that everything was a whirl again and then the show started. SUPERBLY nervos and all with what alot of my classmates sitting up there watching, my parents [!!!], and Giam and Loh sitting in front of my parents [!!!!!!!!] as if i didn't need to feel worse. so it just started and went. almost every piece i was gasping for air cause i just got some kind of astute asthma attack on non-asthmatic ppl kind of thing. [uhhh.. NVM :] [ pssssst: me being cheered up by loads of great videos on CBR =]
aww - i made lots of mistakes in the first day already. ="( i didn't even have time to put on my disco stars for the 'Disco Lives'. arrgh. some more i screwed up my favourite piece in the whole ultimate concert - '
POTC'. god - wanted to do some justice to that piece. otherwise, the rest were moderately okay i guess. first night i rate it 6 stars outta ten. ='( at least the cheering up part is by Ham and JY. =D thnks u 2! =) you made my day. [AWWS.]
[laughing: go see this -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms9TKGx_lSw&mode=related&search==] it's good i promise. =) the 2nd night was much better of course. YOU DON"T MISTAKES TWICE!! that refers to muahhs. =P and i went home satisfied of course. super hyper and all. =) thanks to our seniors who went to support us and cheered endlessly for us. if i'm not wrong, Yi Wen, the '05 trumpet SL, shouted encore before the first song even started. Oh yeah, we did play an encore that night since someone shouted for us already. =P
It was 'Do Re Me' and it was suddenly so hyper and fun that even FOO turned around to ask the audience to clap with him!! =) it was just such a great night and we ended off with a splendid note. that's all i can say. [
SMILES] even ms lee thought i was 'overly- kuku' or smtg. =D hehehehehehehehehe =)
the results is rlly immense pleasure shown through the audience applause. and for a moment i felt so happy. =) okay-happy larh.
shall update on POTC2 review soon. so many other things to write about and there's so little time. but i'll make it - PROMISE!! =D gtg now before my dad starts to come out of his room for the EON-TH time and wants to strangle me with the computer cords for surfing to much net time. HAHA. gotta survive to write for ya'all. =) and i
SO LOVE JOHNNY DEPP!!! he is so hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot!
