movie world.
i was just looking through the newspapers and they were talking abt the top 100 movies of last year and i'm proud to say that i've watched a couple of them.
1. spiderman 3 - watched it twice so possibly contributed to the $7million over takings.
2. HP5: OoTP - watched it twice too but one on the day itself and the other on a plane.
3. POTC: at world's end - watched it at a cheap price at genting. =D
4. ratatouillee - watched it on 'be yourself ' day.
5. mr bean's holiday - gd show actually. i love rowan atkinson.
6. fantastic four: rise of the silver surfer - IM A BIG FAN.
7. 881 - whaddiyanoe? i'm half a hokkien lang too.
8. enchanted - watched it with SA tour friends. super lame. =P
9. the golden compass - watched with HAM!!!
10. the simpsons - ZOMG DAMN LAME TO THE MAX. =)
11. hairspray - i love james marsden and zac efron is OKAYY.
12. license to wed
now - i just want to watch '27 dresses' because it comes out on 24th jan. and if i predict that our results come out on a thursday [YES PLEASE!!!] then we can go to sch, collect our horrendous results, feel so emo, whack the drums [YES - MAROON 5 HAHAHA] and then watch a feel good rom-com/chick flick.
ISN'T THAT AWESOME?

since im studying GP now, i must some how, possess the ability to keep up with current affairs around the world. so when i saw that there was this quiz in the straits times regarding the ongoing american elections, i decided to attempt it. i fared pretty alright - cant rmb the score though. =P but there were some incredulous answers like how Barack Obama is a woman [ZOMG], how Hilary and Bill Clinton are siblings or father and daughter [WAD IDIOTS] and that California Governor Arnold-I'll Be Back-Schwazeggnegger [DUNNO HOW TO SPELL] is running for president.
HAIYOH.

GP [my definition] is about expressing one's opinion over a certain intellectually-challenging concept using chimonology English such that it will WOW and impress the markers [are they Britons? i BET they are.] and they will give you an A which you just might take elatedly into some top notch university and use it in some foreign course like [OH WHAT SAY YOU] china studies in chinese.
of course, that means you can't flunk your chinese then. =P
i seriously think GP is pretty fun but after 10 yrs of writing narratives non stop, i doubt i can ace my GP paper yet. it's going to be an uphill task trying to study for it. besides, there's this GP teacher in SAJC who thinks we are EXPENSIVE DINGBATS and asked us to say this with him -
I AM INSIGNIFICANT. MY LIFE IS INSIGNIFICANT.
oh how wonderful. [-.-"] he is pretty sarcastic and mocks our intelligence [or to him, the lack-there-of of any presence of intellectualism.] but that guy is tons better than my present GP tutor. she is so boring, what she says hypnotises me to sleep.
to quote her [all GP teachers seem to have alot of things to say]:
people who don't do well in GP are not stupid, but its because they cannot last. why they can't last is due to the fact that they do stupid things.
so are we stupid or what? [-.-"]
things done in GP: read some SUPER LONG essays and watch a SUPER ANCIENT film called 'kramer vs kramer' starring dustin hoffman and meryl streep. why not smth controversial like 'BORAT' cause i bet we all can't watch it as we weren't of the age limit or smth. come to think of it, we probably haven't reached the age limit still.
biology teacher is pretty nice, interesting and hilarious. he is also the TIC [nope, not ticks on your hair but teacher in charge] of guitar ensemb. =) i rlly want to learn the guitar, by hook or by crook. =P despite the fact that my fingers are obviously too short - i just might play the ukelele then.
h2 bio is pretty tough - lots of memory work to be done. h2 chem is equally confusing - thanks to a certain person and all my chem concepts have conveniently flown out the window into the nearest rubbish dump. my chem tutor is rlly nice - she's young and also my civics tutor. not sure if she will still be teaching me if i return to SAJC for JAE. h2 maths is killing me in some ways and its not helpful if you don't know your amaths stuff well.
i DON'T LIKE MY CHINESE TEACHER. so naggy; such agony. that's about all.
i got a rlly gd econs teacher. had many interesting econs lessons. but econs is not easy either. not that i'm going to take up h1 lit any time soon. it's a killer. =/ AH WAIT.
ECONOMICS IS THE STUDY OF HOW PEOPLE AND SOCIETY CHOOSE TO EMPLOY SCARCE PRODUCTIVE RESOURCES TO PRODUCE GOODS AND SERVICES AND DISTRIBUTE THEM AMONG VARIOUS PERSONS AND GROUPS IN SOCIETY IN ORDER TO SATISFY THEIR WANTS.
yeah. =)
about the friends i've made in school - both OG 28 and 08S14.
they are all rlly awesome people. i'm rlly glad i can click with most of them and some are potential mates. HAHAHA. =D but of course, won't forget my current best mates! YOU GUYS KNOW IT! =)
