time for another year of endless rollercoaster rides. LET'S GO GO GO!!! o.0

1st jan:

well did everyone sleep well because you had a wonderful new yr's eve party or WHAT? i slept pretty late because i watched 'mr deeds' - adam sandler show. was not too bad, a romantic story but rather bland after a while.

my new year wasn't rlly interesting this yr. i went to my aunt's house for celebration with my other cousins. just watched tv, played with kids, watched batman [THE CARTOON LEH] and ate ALOT. not a gd way to start the yr - STUFFING MYSELF HAHAHA. went home, went to bed at 11 and SLEPT at smth a.m. this is my usual routine whenever the sch yr is abt start. my nerves get the worse of me and i just cant sleep soundly. GRRR. OH WELLS - not too gd esp since the nxt day i have to wake up at sme unearthly hrs.

2nd jan:

woke up scarily early. BAD HEADACHE AND LOUSY VISION. took the mrt from tiong bahru to outram. got lost at outram [LOLLS] because the signs confused me. shld have paid mre attention whn my mum and i went to 'REKKY'[SLANG FOR CHECK OUT] the place/jc. am sleep deprived and have no gd sense of direction.WHAT A GREAT WAY TO START THE DAY. and best of all, et gave me the wrong info. he said to meet at outram bt instead they were meeting at potong pasir.

WAH - WONDERFUL EH.

got to potong pasir on time and walked to sch with the rest of the gessians. cld have taken the bus but SAVE MONEY? OR WALKING IS OKAY AS WELL? whatever lah.

oh btw, i have to mention that i dunno my OG [orientation group] beforehand. i had to take a special trip dwn to SAJC to check my OG. this is because i received NO CALLS, NO LETTER, NO FORM OF POSSIBLE CONTACT FROM ANY BREATHING/LIVING BEING FROM SAJC abt the orientation. its like im living in some isolated country or my own world or SMTH. guess its either that or im VERY SUCCESSFUL at being oblivious.

assembled at their awesomely big cultural centre [OKAYY MAYBE NOT THAT HUGE?] and sat beside a crescentian. i vowed to be mre lively and outgoing this yr, so i intro-ed myself to her and i met my first OG mate. most of my friends in OG28 were rlly easygoing. GOOD. =) then the entire JC1s watched a mini presentation/performance by the student councillors. the theme of the orientation was 'LOST'.

cant rmb much abt the ice breakers alr. i have SEVERE STM. we played some random games like the classic 'WACKO' and 'husband and wife'. somewhat alright - until we had a 2 and a half hr long talk by the sch staff. nth much to elaborate but i got rlly sleepy. was thinking abt toothpicks to hold up my drooping eyelids. LOL.

had to register subject combi. i took BCME [biology,chemistry,maths and h1 econs]. quite a popular choice for most students. the other next popular combi wld hav to be PCME - physics. so i wonder wad will happen to those 7 gess students who took bio and phy.WIERD COMBI.

next, OG 28 [us!!!] to OG 34 gathered in one lecture theatre. we belonged to a tribe called TIENNO!!! [pronounced tea-anne-no] the other tribes are shersha, archo mawi [unsure of the correct spelling], iroquois [unsure too] and nahone [say NAH HONEY]. all these 5 tribes actually spell out S.A.I.N.T. rlly innovative and i didnt notice it til DUNNO WHN. laggy me. =P

FINALLY lunch at 1.30pm. STARVING.

ah food, GLORIOUS FOOD. i had chicken chop - it was gd. then had mass games and dance. it was quite INTERESTING [GP cant use words like these LOL LOL]. learning the dance was a little confusing/confunding/befuddling. then we had smth like 'amazing race' but its called 'treasure hunt'. ignore the names - they were mre like station games. was quite fun [CANT RMB WHAT BUT THEY WERE ALL TRYING TO GET US TO WORK TOGETHER AND BLAH BLAH]. got stuck at the first clue though HAHAHA. our OGLeader had to help us.

AH YES! OG leaders - ernica and alistair. ernica is rlly nice and she tries to get us to cheer - HAHAHA. =D she's in band and plays clarinet - i think that was before she came to SAJC. alistair is an ex-GESSIAN! frm 4h and is in either npcc or ncc - IM ALWAYS CONFUSED ABT THS. JUST A 'P'!!! =/ both of them rlly nice and are the best OGL'S ever!!! =D okayy lame - BUT im glad i had some similarities with my OGLs.

3rd jan:

2nd day of orientation and we had mre cheering, intro to mentors and student council, mre mass games. one of the stage games involved humiliating guys. AH - it does sound cruel. XP each OG had to choose a guy to take part in the man hunt contest. and they had to roll up their sleeves PRETTY HIGH.

but - IT WASNT A MAN HUNT CONTEST! it was the 'WHO HAD THE MOST ARMPIT HAIR' contest. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. we all laughed like hell when they were posing. in the end, OG 34 won.

then LUNCH. =D

everytime there is lunch, i am the happiest kid on the block. ALWAYS STARVING LIKE NOBODY'S BUSINESS. yah wad - its my business and nobody else's. subject combi confirmed and then had water games. all to get you wet - WHETHER YOU LIKED IT OR NOT. i won one game [YEAH!] and had altogether 5 water games. OG 28 won the last one against the opposing teams. HAHAHA.

it was all very fun and ended pretty early. so most ppl in OG 28 went for dinner at plaza sing's Carl's Jr. GOOD FOOD AND GOOD COMPANY. was a fairly good day, i think. =)

4th jan:

had more stage games and were all designed for us ppl who were not participating to LAUGH. at others. =P learned the college song, hymn and cheers. their college song is so much nicer sounding then GESS. so upbeat; LOLLS. then we had to spend time preparing for the FINALE. my OG was doing cheers. then LUNCH!!!!! !!!!! !!!!!

more stage games, a gathering with our tribe and we proceeded to CC for FINALE! was pretty fun and got to see the tribe mascots.

shersha's mascots were a fairy and a pixie of some sort. LOL.
all decked in green and the guy had shrek ears on. HAHA.
archo mawi had the banana brothers/banana twins - B1 and B2.
remember 'bananas in pajamas'? YAH. =P
iroqouis were red so they had the entire 'the INCREDIBLES' thng.
nahone had a cowboy mascot and as they were purple, who else but -BARNEY. in cardboard.
the guy in the costume had to take tiny steps in order not to fall or destroy the delicate costume.
i was bursting into laughter whenever i saw him.

HAHAHAHAHA. =D

and TIENNO? TIENNO MAN!!!
pretty lame larh. HAHAHA.

after that and some awesome performance by their dance society. the teachers had to do some judging. every tribe won a prize. best mascot went to iroqouis. VERY DESERVING. best cheering to nahone, best banner to archo mawi, best smth [CANT RMB WHAT] to shersha, and tienno got best identity cuz we had a party hat, light sticks, a cape and masks. totally decked out in our magician get up. =)

then all tribes left for the multipurpose hall. NO TEACHERS THERE SO PRETTY MUCH - NO RESERVATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS. XP hahaha - we had a full scale concert of some sort. there was this band, they played around 4 to 5 songs. the whole 700 plus of us were bopping up and down to the music.

lightsticks flying, plastic balls flying, lights out. SO AWESOME. X)

even got to stand at the front where the band was playing. music blasting and new friends around >> atmopshere was rlly great.

after all that, OG 28 took some pictures and my OGL, ernica, gave us all a file each with a drawing done by her. SWEET. =) went for OG supper. we talked alot of crap and hanged out around. left quite late - almost 10 plus. reached home at 11 plus. too tired already so slept straightaway.
