i can save you with stem cells.
sigh; i looked in the papers and thought we won another medal. turns out the column was for total number of medals. so >>> ONE STILL. false alarm; gah. =/

oh yeah, watched the dark knight with jess and dawn - WEEKS AGO. =P it was a pretty gd movie minus the wonderfully deafening surround sound [worse in the front] and the sudden appearances of the JOKER. YIKES. =X
but heath ledger is so cool in it [although i expected mre from him; i like that he kept licking his lips - sign of OCD] and CHRISTIAN BALE IS DAMN EFFING HOT LAAAAHHHHH ! ;) man, if only all the gd guys werent taken/married/with kids. =/
spoiler: they killed off his love interest, rachel dawes.
and there were many twists and turns in the movie. BUT, the cop-lawyer lingo was difficult to understand and sometimes the plot just makes your insides churn - you hardly know whats going on and there's WAYYY too much action scenes. but i like it all the same and encourage you to watch. 4 stars frm muahh. ;)

i wanna watch "mad abt english" - s'pore docu on china. =) any takers?

being the vp of mentoring has its pros and cons - i would say. but i feel like i have a real responsibility for once. being a leader is not so easy as it seems and i dont like it if im not good at something. im kind of a perfectionist, which isnt all that gd. i ask too much of myself and others.
maybe i shld take thngs easy after all. but i find it very difficult. =/
[things have changed for me, but thats okay.] ;)

OCIP camp 1: selection.
can you believe it? i ACTUALLY SURVIVED THE ORDEAL ! [damn proud of myself kkk.] i personally thought i wouldnt. =D i have no ounce of physicality in me and like i use to say, im a couch potato through and through. as much as i would love to elaborate on every single thought that i had during the camp, all i have to say is that im thankful:
1) asyifah was one of our grp leaders and she was rlly nice. =]
2) i have made quite a few new friends in our grp [audrey, matthias, gen, qi xuan, olivia, thu han, peter, cinny, kingston, nadia, unsure if thr are anymre.]
glad that it lasted for only one day. we played lots of team-building games, ALWAYS COUNTING STRENGTH [sheesh, i shiver frm the thought of "GROUP SIX - ONE !!!"], had little food to eat [well im pretty much hungry all the time HAHAHA], punished cause we were late, late cause we were given a few minutes [ONLY] to run to our bunks, taking care of our precioussss tiny egg [that we had to lug around, which was cumbersome; became much of a hindrance], must wear team ID everywhere you go, yada yada yada. [GAH.]
i cant rmb much except for feeling hungry and exhausted easily [HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT I = STANK], the night alarm that everyone expected [they rang the alarm at 3 plus in the morning and i was fully awake still, thus being the first out of bunk cause my shoes were on too], night walk [morning rlly; sort of like in the middle of nowhere] for close to 3 hrs non-stop, i daresay. we walked from here to there: to maris stella, SPCA, bradell [we saw light by then] and back to potong pasir. had a very short breakfast and got more pumping to do thanks to IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE WHO LEAVE THEIR PRECIOUSSSS EGGS LYING AROUND GOD KNOW WHERE. cleaned up the cafe, thus engaging in some back-breaking, hands-filthy action. ETC.
highlight of the event? endurance run.
i dont believe i did it, but it was strange. there was walking involved and a toilet interval, but it seemed like i didnt rlly stop much until THEY CALLED US TO STOP. by then, it was raining heavily alr. i got pulled by gen HO [and gen GUI as well] to the finishing line. thanks gen[s] dear ! ;)
home sweet home. i promptly downed my fsh and chips dinner, had coke + chin chow + ice cream + I CANT RMB BUT WHAT A WHOLE LOT OF FOOD. my mum said i lost weight. i bet i have gained it all back by now. =/
evaluation [GOSH PLS NO IM NOT GG ALL GP HERE KKK]: out of all the pe teachers, i like louis ho the best. im not so sure of derrick ong, he reminds me of KUAN. which i DONT LIKE AT ALL. but D.Ong is not that bad - period. and although the j2s were hard on us, it was a gd experience. they were rlly nice though, after the camp. guess they were just doing their jobs. ;)

OCIP camp 2: team building.
so now im officially going to vietnam and so far, many vietnam trip-goers [and other trip-goers] have dropped out of OCIP perhaps for safety reasons mainly. it must be the mekong floods that their parents are worried about. =/
team consists of 20 plus ppl, of which i havent met all of them yet. but they are pretty funky people and i think im gonna enjoy their company alot. already found fans of maroon 5 and jason mraz. WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR, DOOD? x)
it was pretty relaxing and i was in charge of food. we had CANADIAN PIZZA for dinner. but kind of over-bought some foodstuff which we donated to the seniors activity home the next day [our local CIP]. that was also where i flexed my [lack thereof] language skills when it came to cantonese. must mention i didnt know how to say the word "need", which was an important word to know.
moral of the story? never underestimate the power of food and NUTELLA. [it was such a crowd fave.] ;) oh yeah, old people just love the company of kids like us. =] sincerely humbled by this experience; thank you HO popo !
oh yeah, learnt that i am a banana. bananas are practical, short-tempered people. however, they are great listeners and get high easily. [HOW TRUE.] apparently, bananas make good leaders. strange then, i dont rlly feel that way. [wondering why i wasnt in oranges when i love the colour orange and love to draw circles. -_- ]
perhaps its just a sweeping statement. =P
btw, im in the logistics comm. FYI only. ;)

STRESSED STRESSED STRESSED. recently got rlly stressed over gp debate which turned out quite fine actually. memories? heart thumping like shit and speaking loudly but the audience didnt think that way. in fact, they couldnt hear me at all.
DAMNIT. =/
mervy lau bak kwa was a rlly gd speaker and so was gen. i think i should have been the last speaker; could have concluded the points much better since i feel that gen would have been more engaging and intellectually HIGHER in terms of content points in speech. arguments are terribly impt. =O in actual fact, PROPO shld have won but the judges felt that oppo [mre advantageous for our motion] did better.

CT grades - did i mention how horrible they were? and now there's only ONE MONTH left to the promos.
SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTS !!!!! =( [insert suitable expletives here.]
gp - D, mt - B [expecting mre frm this but was tad complacent], bio - D [WHAT LUCK AND TYCONESS >>> zomg], chem - C [could have done better], math - B [WOULD HAVE DONE MUCH MUCH MORE IN THIS], econs -
BIG FAT U. most depressing of all. >=(
total rank points sum up to 54 which is kind of average-y to me. highest in level is 77/80. 2 of our classmates made it to THE LIST [arnd 50 ppl; IF I RMB CORRECTLY]: CHOY and mel soh/zhi yu.
smarty pants ! =O
im not sure how ths promos will go but i feel myself slacking alr. recent bio test MSA [milestone assessment] and i flunked it real bad. it wasnt even difficult ! and tack has to go around blowing his trumpet of how he got [WTH] 38/40 for it. i could have gotten 5 mre marks and passed but barely. ='( chem is just as disappointing. sometimes i wonder if its because i dont have an affinity with science. i prefer math; its so straight forward. [-.-]
mugging time. ):
