waiting outside the gate to enter the MAIN STAGE area. i waited for arnd [10 plus AM to 1 plus PM] outside fort canning, then we got to enter the compounds [F&B + STAGE 2 - local bands + MERCH booths]. the local bands begun playing while we waited in the HOT SUN for the doors to open WIDEEEE. =X



the crowd behind us. we were standing pretty near the doors. oh yeah; WE = me + ham + dhwani. the gates finally opened arnd 3 plus PM. so thats abt a total of 4 hrs of patience, perspiration and PUSHING PEOPLE BEHIND YOU. >=(




the MUTTONS are everywhere. they cracked a joke regarding how vernon [left] and justin [right] look like before and after tampons. LAME joke; dudes. this is about the time we finally got into the grounds and we're centered in the moshpit. YEAAARRRRGGGGHH !!! HOLY SCHMOLY GOOD. =D dhwani wasnt with us cuz she had to rest.

first up - stacie orrico. all dressed up in a BLACK cocktail dress in the scorching summer heat of sunny island. WAYY TO GO FRIEND. =P but she's looking gd still and has a great voice.




jamie scott next and looking quite HOT. in fact, he kept complaining abt the heat and how back in THE UK, it's always raining. well, if you hate the weather here so much, i suggest you SING FASTER. =P


okayy, he's still quite hot, but his performance was a little too boring and slow, in addition to our fuzzy minds. ;)



ham's eye candy #1: one republic's soundcheck guy who later performed with them in their last song. not bad looking [HAVE TO AGREE], but PINK? not my kind of colour; sorry. =/






ham's eye candy #2: zach filkins, guitarist of one republic. yellow shirt is nice and I STILL BELIEVE HE IS MARRIED cuz he looks old and he has that ring on his 4th finger; left hand. cannot hear his voice although he does backups.




rest of the band and OOPSIE DAISIES, i realised i didnt upload a picture of the drummer. bt he isnt handsome so - NVM. =P the afro guy is quite cute. btw, he multi-tasks and thats so awesome. one minute he's intense with the cello,




the next, he's jamming with the bass guitar. AWESOME DOOD. ;)

BRENDON URIE, LEAD SINGER OF PANIC AT THE DISCO !!! AHHHHHHH!!! x) he had a mike malfunction for the 1st/2nd song - i think. when he was singing 'BUT IT'S BETTER IF YOU DO', there was no sound so the crowd promptly covered for him. it was a nice gesture and I KNEW HOW TO SING TOO !!! ;)


he apparently didnt realise this as he was singing away vigorously like no one's business. it was only whn he took off his earpiece that he understood why the crowd was boo-ing.


it's none of his business; it was the soundcheck guy's fault. but he looked pretty pissed and was seen frowning.


oh yeah, and in one of the videos [cuz i cn only see 2D and not frm the sides] he apparently walked to the drumset and was seen spitting/puking/ejesting smtg in liquid form. im nt sure if it's the booze they put on the side of the drumset though.


he does look abit sick. seems like brendon is rather weak. in sme other music gig, smeone threw a bottle at him and he got knocked out. unsure if it's empty or full. BUT IT'S KINDA DANGEROUS.


ah, the dangers of becoming a celebrity.


btw, smeone[s] threw a bra at him. got that filmed dwn in one of my vids. SICK. >=(


bassist jon - and one extra guy[sme unknown keyboardist]. jon actually joked abt seeing the PCD backstage and trying to get hooked up with one of the girls and asked us if he stood a chance. =P [FAT HOPE DOOD.] then they proceeded to sing 'THAT GREEN GENTLEMEN', which was supposedly used to win their hearts.




another RYAN - guitarist. I THINK HE IS CUTER THAN BRENDAN HAHA. =D it's strange though, that he was a vocalist on 'MAD AS RABBITS' but he didnt sing his part. perhaps that's because his mike was also out of order. jon took over for his parts, and he sounded quite gd too.


brendon said his pants were falling down and he proceeded to pull them up. [cue catcalls frm the hordes of females] then ryan came along to do the opposite which made me laugh. =P



MRAZ-MANIA: THE LOVE AND HIS BAND. =D =D =D =D =D


he is practically a music+dance+HOTNESS+SEXINESS machine. GAH. saw his guitar and immediately decided to stay put, even though ham had to answer nature's call URGENTLY. nth can make me move if i see a possession of JM.


it's the sticker on his guitar that gives it away. ;)





TOCA !!! =D he is so AWEESSSSSOOOOOMMMMEEEESSSS. look to the right of the pic and you can see the infamous garden gnome. =)



HOT SHOT #1. he sang quite a few songs; arnd 8 i think. it was an awesome live set - THE BEST OF THE BEST, THE BEST THAN THE REST = 'NUFF SAID. =) his was the only one that ended off with an 'WE WANT MORE/ENCORE !!!' chant that was echoed frm the crowd.


they knw his mettle, his talent and his ability to connect with audiences live. ;) WHICH IS UBER COOL.





HOT SHOT #2. he actually interacted with the audience alot, such as one fine example which caused many to go into a frenzy. POLARIOD PICTURE TAKING. he took one of every section of his band and threw it into the crowd.


THEN HE TOOK ONE OF HIMSELF IN WHICH HE POSED LIKE SOME HOT HUNK. [okayy, actually not rlly. it was mre like a cheesy pose. BUT ANYTHNG WITH HIM IN IT IS HOT.] x)


THEN HE THREW IT TO THE MIDDLE AUDIENCE WHICH WAS LESS THAN ONE F___NG METRE AWAY FROM ME AND THE PICTURE PROMPTLY DISAPPEARED INTO THE MIDST OF THE CROWD.


BOO. ='( and i didnt get to meet him to ask him to sign on my ipod or kiss me HAHA. x)


[for mre extra info regarding JM's performance, you can approach the friendly me because at the mention of THE WORD - MRAZ, i might just swoon and faint.]

JM's set ended and we left cause it was the LEVI's fashion show. there were handsome ANGMOHS, but after MRAZ, NO ONE CAN BEAT HIM. x) after 5 STRAIGHT hours in the mosh pit [wout H2O and any munchies!!!], got sme rest and much relieve at the toilets. exchanged $$$ [HARD EARNED - PARENT'S DOUGH] for coupons which we spent on drinks alone. i felt dehydrated and pretty whacked out but it was WORTH IT.

moshing for PATD and JM is like - THE MAX PLEASURE AND IS DEFINITELY PRICELESS.

hanged out at the stage 2 where plain sunset was playing. pretty empty here except for arnd [let's say] 50 plus ppl 'fake-moshing' to them. =/ sad case for local bands. wanted to catch ALLURA, but they were at 8 - which was arnd MRAZ's set. i think it's abt 9 plus PM in ths pic.

got rest for our tired feet and aching knees, while recapping the moments. discussed what we cldnt hear in the crowd and WAS QUITE FUN. =) =) =) =) =)

went to find dhwani after our rest. stood at the back to watch PCD. quite expected. they look gd live and nicole scherzinger sounded pretty okay. MEDIOCRE in terms of singing. the dancing is the only saving grace - i guess.

AND BESIDES THE FACT THAT THEY ARE QUITE PRETTY [or should i say HOT?] WOMEN. =/

then dhwani left cuz the next day she had to go to school bright and early for lessons. [me? I TELL YOU THE SECRET IF YOU ASK ME.] IM SORRY FRIEND; DIDNT ACCOMPANY YOU MOST OF THE TIME. =( hope you enjoyed SINGFEST though.



PREPPING THE SET FOR ALICIA [MS] KEYS. THE BACKGROUND HAS BLACK DRAPES AND THE GRAND PIANO WAS BROUGHT OUT, PLUS ALL THE PROPS FOR HER SHOW.

yeah - it's the PRINCESS OF R&B. ;)

her performance was great, her singing was gd and she did a great job in tinkling the ivories. but the saddest part is that what she spoke to the crowd was rather scripted. i felt like she wasnt rlly sincere and she was kinda restricted. cld have dne better in terms of what she said.

she got great moves too. sang a total of - I DUNNO HOW MANY CAUSE SHE JUST KEPT SINGING AND SINGING AND SINGING - songs. =/ and i didnt knw that many sngs that i thought i did. but she sang short versions of the ones that i were familiar with.

overall gd performance but ham and i had to leave early for our CHAFFEURS [loved ones larh] came a-calling for us. IM SORRY FRIEND, ONCE AGAIN, THAT YOU HAD TO MISS THE LAST SONG OF THE NIGHT WHICH WAS 'NO ONE'. =(

we cld have stayed but SIGH; she was going on forever [serious!] and at the rate she was going, i was falling asleep already. =/ and so THAT'S THE END.

comments to make: for a first time mosher and music fest goer like ME, it was a wild experience. the angmoh girls are rlly open and they have alot of underwear and protective cloth for assets to donate. =P and sme ppl mosh rlly HARD. >=(

they jump ALOT. >=( and sme of them have zero ounce of manners. >=( WTH, sme of them even wore heels to MOSH. =((( nt exactly my kind of thng - im sneakers. =D but it proved to be rlly tiring to NT BE ABLE TO SEE ABOVE THE CROWD.

this height factor comes into play and i rlly wished i was taller. [for once, it's a crime to be as short as me.] nonetheless, OCIP camp trained me for abit of HARDINESS and much calf-muscle building so I SURVIVED IT.
