so i watched "twilight" ytd and i kind of regret it cause it wasnt that nice. rach and i [both of us read the bk before, dawn hasnt] thought that perhaps the movie would be better than the book.
WRONG WRONG WRONG. :(
i think rach-san felt quite dizzy watching it and as for me, i felt like puking after the movie. okayyy, i cant say that the romantic scenes caused me to react in such a severe way but i was sitting in the middle. i was holding the popcorn box. i was munching on it almost throughout the entire movie. the lesson i learnt is that put me in front of an exciting movie and i'll eat slower. but put me in front of a movie thats too draggy/cheesy/overly romantic and i cant stop.
i swear i had more than half the box of it. =/ BAD BAD BAD news. i felt bad for not letting the other two have a go at the popcorn. =/ and i only ate more when those fangirls/Twilighters/noisy women made all these ooh-ing and aah-ing sounds [signs of limited vocabulary] when they saw Bella (female lead) and Edward (male protagonist) up close.
yeah yeah yeah - and i thought i was a hopeless romantic; turns out im not right ? :P
the film really deserves only 2 stars. kristen stewart does a rather convincing job as the fiesty heroine and robert pattinson's only saving grace is his looks. REEEALLY. his acting cant even save his own life, let alone the film. i think he kept thinking to himself to be into the character, so much that he became aloof - ALMOST LIKE A STATUE. his expression is blank and NEVER-changing. actually it fits the description for his character then >>> Greek god-like ? only that greek gods exist as statues most of the time.
AHAHAHA. [so gonna get bashed for this.] :P
the only part that i liked was the car accident part [but that was short-lived] and the baseball match (only cause i like the Muse song) and and and the fighting scene between 2 vampires. it wasn't in the book though but im glad they added that part. i love a bit of action. nonono, lemme correct that; LOTS AND LOTS OF IT. :D it was just so COOL to see them whacking around. it's like real life vampire action - finally ! :O anws it was cheesy because stephenie meyer, the author, casted herself as an extra in the movie [spoiler: "here you go, your veggie burger."] just as i was leaving the theatre, the fangirls were once again gushing [just like me going on and on about YUI larhhh; fair enough] about the movie and how they were going to watch it again.
i'll watch it again over my dead body. >:( it's not that its that bad but it's probably one of the worst movies i've ever watched, not counting scary movie and superhero movie - ahhh franchises. nvm nvm nvm. (-.-")
righto. now i have to go think about ways/means/methods to raise funds for '09 string of possible music events to go for. maybeee its time to hit the books to curry favour some VERY reluctant parents.
AHHH. ;)
