harry potty and the 2 and a half stars.
maybe i'm too overly critical of the film or having read the series, the expectations are way higher than normal movie-goers. but how can it be that it sucked so much in many aspects and (despite my whining and slamming) that the next 2 final installments will be directed by the SAME GUY ?
yeahh i feel depressed already. :/
why don't you just read the book and watch the trailer; it's sufficient. TRUST ME. leave everything to your own imagination. add in ACTION (you can have Harry chase the Death Eaters and Snape for hours around Hogwarts - that would take a couple of miles, and then battle it out with lots of sticks and wands and less dialogue) and more EMOTION (maybe we could lengthen the suffering Dumbledore endured while drinking from the, errr sink, focusing more on his agonised expression) and less ROMANCE which was unnecessary (bloody irritating too) and made the movie long and draggy. supposed it was the scriptwriter's fault for not shortening and cutting straight to the important points of the story but HE TRIED.
i mean - HONEST ! they actually did a slow-mo for DD's dying scene >>> him plummeting many storeys off the dunnowhat tower isn't exactly my idea of an honorific death (well it wasn't but it was downright cheesy.) in fact, it reminded me of The Matrix and the Neo scene (the one he bends backwards so low and he doesnt falls ? yeah that one) because of the arm.
not sad/upset when he died. in fact, i thought it was a really weak attempt at tugging at our heartstrings. forget it Yates, i want to see some werewolf Fenrir Greyback being carnivorous biting people and Bellatrix being her usual evil insane self because she's terribly entertaining.
expecting nxt ones.
